Luke Thomas Jordon was born April 2 at 9:49 pm weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and 19 inches long. It is hard to believe that he is the largest baby of our three children. Jenna was 1 ounce less!

Luke had trouble breathing after he was born and had to stay in the nursery for eight days. At first the doctors thought it was due to him being delivered by c-section and they thought he would be able to join me in my room the next day. Unfortunately, he didn't improve and required oxygen, an IV, and was placed in a covered isolette. The worst part was that we weren't really allowed to hold him during this time. He also had jaundice and had to "bake" under the lights. I wish we would have taken some pictures of him in the nursery but I guess we just kept thinking he would soon be out and then we would get good pictures without tubes, etc. It was so hard to leave the hospital without him but I knew that was the best place for him to stay. After running an EKG and an echo they discovered he had hypertension between his heart and lungs. The good news was he just needed to stay on the oxygen a little longer to recover. Thankfully, a few days later his breathing improved and he got to "room in" with us for a day and a night.
Lane was the first one to hold him when Luke came to our room!
Papa was next!
Then I got my turn!
He did so well that they let us take him home on Tuesday, April 10th.
Jenna was so happy to finally get to hold her baby brother!
Nana holding Luke right before we took her to the airport to fly back to Houston. I am so thankful that she and my Dad were able to come help. We would not have survived the first few weeks without them!
Here he is already one month old! God has truly blessed us with such a sweet, calm, little boy. Exactly what we needed for our third child. I am looking forward to watching him grow and for his little personality to shine through!
