Last Friday, May 18th, was Lane's last day of school. It is hard to believe that he has completed a whole year of school here in Midland. All the parents were invited to the classroom for the children to show all they have learned this year. They recited all the poems they learned this year and read for us. I was very impressed! I am very thankful that Lane has the opportunity to attend this awesome school!
With his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Clayton!
They had quite a celebration afterwards. Each child released a balloon into the air and then they were off to begin their Summer! After we finished the festivities at school, Lane attended a classmate's birthday party. Then it was time to get ready for his own birthday party!
He insisted on having his party at Chuck E Cheese, which I really wasn't a fan of. I finally caved in and agreed to let him have it there. At least this way he can't tell me as an adult that he always wanted to have his party there and I wouldn't let him! I have to say, it was the least stressful party I have ever planned and the kids had a blast!
In the ticket blaster!
At home with all his gifts! We were all worn out by the end of the day!
Now we are looking forward to Summer break, traveling, and going back to Houston to visit family and friends!
